On March 1, 2021, the presentation of four competency-oriented training programs for professionals in the field of energy efficiency took place

On March 1, 2021, the NGO "School of Energy Efficiency" organized a presentation of four competency-oriented training programs in the field of energy efficiency for business partners.

On March 1, 2021, business partners were presented with four competency-oriented training programs for specialists in the field of energy efficiency in the following areas:

  • Insulation of facades
  • Installation of windows
  • Thermal insulation of pipes
  • Insulation of flat roofs
 
The programs were developed in 2020 under the “Professional Qualifications” component of the GIZ project “Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine” and will now be introduced into the educational process of vocational educational institutions (VET).

Welcoming remarks were made by Danija Krieg, Leader of the “Professional Qualifications in Energy Efficiency” component of the GIZ project “Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine” (2020-2025), which is being in Ukraine by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the governments of Germany and Switzerland.

Nataliia Oliynyk, an expert in curriculum development and a representative of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, introduced three professional (certificate) programs in the areas of “Installation of windows”, “Thermal insulation of pipes” and “Insulation of flat roofs”.

Vadym Lytvyn, an expert in curriculum development and a representative of the Association of Energy Auditors of Ukraine, explained how to increase the qualifications of workers and craftsmen in the field of construction from a technical point of view and presented educational materials for three training programs hosted on the Moodle platform.

Andriy Izovita, an expert in curriculum development and a representative of the International Foundation of Development, presented a training course “Advanced thermal modernization systems for buildings and structures” for the profession “Assembler of building insulation systems.”

Yevhen Yurchenko and Victoria Grankina, representatives of the Energy Innovation Hubs in Dnipro and Kharkiv, presented their positive experience in the implementation of educational programs and cooperation with business.

The results of the event were summed up and the next steps outlined by Iryna Yurieva, coordinator of the “Professional Qualifications in Energy Efficiency” component of the GIZ project “Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine” (2020-2025), which is being in Ukraine by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the governments of Germany and Switzerland.

The event was attended by more than 50 representatives of manufacturers of equipment and materials and representatives of the education sector.
