Opening of the Energy-Innovative Hub project

On November 21, 2019, a conference was held in Kyiv on the occasion of the opening of the project “ENERGY-INNOVATIVE HUB – a platform for training of qualified specialists in the field of energy efficiency”.

The project is part of the Qualification and Vocational Education and Training component of the Energy Efficiency Reforms in Ukraine project, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).

Organizer and executor – NGO “School of Energy Efficiency”.

The goal of the project is to create Energy-Innovative Hubs – spaces for learning, collaboration, exchange of experience, demonstration and promotion of ideas in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental protection and mitigation of climate change.

Project Objective: To develop a model of collaboration between target audiences of the project on the basis of Energy-Innovative Hubs in order to train the construction industry with knowledge and skills in the implementation of energy efficient technologies.

Target audiences of the project:

students and teachers of higher education institutions;
students and teachers of vocational education institutions;
pupils and teachers of secondary schools;
business representatives.

The Energy Innovation Hubs will operate at three universities:

AN Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy Becketova;
Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University;
State Higher Educational Institution “Pridneprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture”.

Project implementation deadline: 10/09/2019 – 06/30/2020.

The hubs will organize educational, awareness-raising and energy efficiency activities. ”

“The main objective of the project is to create well-equipped laboratories in the regions, based on technical HEAs, to train EE specialists.
Hubs should become centers of concentration of information, knowledge about energy efficiency.
They will be equipped with samples of the latest energy-saving equipment. “
