The event was attended by representatives of the baking, dairy, machine-building and non-metal building materials companies, as well as representatives of self-government bodies of cities and districts of Chernihiv region.
During the seminar, experts Vadim Lytvyn and Oleksandr Klepanda acquainted the participants with the following aspects:
how to increase its own competitiveness at the expense of energy efficiency;
what activities to start with;
how to determine the energy efficiency potential of the enterprise;
where to find money for energy efficient projects;
which companies are already implementing energy-efficient measures and how much they are saving.
Gunko AS, State Energy Efficiency Representative, spoke about state policy in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving. and answered questions about the new program, which is planned to be implemented next year.
In addition, reports from the representative of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration and the mayor of Nizhyn informed the audience about regional (local) aspects of energy efficiency development.
An online survey of business representatives was conducted on the state of their awareness of energy modernization of production, the level of implementation of energy-efficient measures, the difficulties and major obstacles encountered in their implementation, on measures at the government level that could contribute to energy efficiency in the respective industries.
These answers, suggestions and advice from the participants of the seminar will be taken into account when developing a training program for SME owners and managers, which will begin in 2019.
We are convinced that the seminar provided participants with important and useful information on the development of energy efficiency in the production area, established a dialogue between local authorities and enterprises on energy efficiency, which contributes to the further development of regional and local sustainable economic development programs.
