The next training was held on September 25-29 in the city of Zaporozhye. This time around 70 trainers and energy managers of local self-government bodies of Zaporizhzhya cities and districts participated in the training program.
The main goal of the event is to help cities to develop municipal energy management systems, to learn how to use the potential of energy efficiency and alternative energy based on a systematic and integrated approach, taking into account the best international and domestic practices.
The central aspect of the program is the practical skills of energy managers, their continued ability to become leaders and moderators of energy efficiency development in their cities, and to involve reliable and experienced partners in collaboration.
Program participants are grateful to our GIZ friends and partners, in particular, Christiani Hagenener, Berbel Schweiger, Imi Khrenova-Shymkina, Svetlana Chebotareva, Jana Zaporozhets, for promoting the institutional capacity of cities in the field of energy and energy efficiency in sustainable energy infrastructure development. »- a priority task that Ukrainian municipalities face in terms of decentralization of power and territorial reform.
